Flyers of Papantla

The ritual ceremony of flyers, dances asociated to the fertility that execute different ethnic groups of México and American center; in particular the totonacas of Veracruz City located at the east of México.

The object  is to express respect towards the nature and the spiritual universe, as well as harmony in both of them.

The mariachi music transmits values that promote respect of the mexican region natural heritages and the local history; as much in spanish as in different indigenous lenguages at west of the country.

According to the traditions, the musicians wear clothes inspired by mexican ”cawboys” and it is conformed of: a mexican hat with big wings, a vest and embroidery pants. Now days, they wear black or white vestiments.
